Memorial Tun Abdul Razak

As the name suggests, Tun Abdul Razak Memorial was established in the loving memory of the second Prime Minister of Malaysia-the late Tun Abdul Razak. The Memorial, built in Oct’ 1961, used to be the official residence of the legend himself until his death in 1976. However, this building called Sri Taman was shortly occupied (1978 – 1981) by Malaysia’s third Prime Minister-Tun Hussein Onn.
This memorial house was built and maintained with personal touch. This hearth of commemoration depicted the love and reverence of the denizens of Malaysia. This center was officially turned in to the hub of exhibition. He was considered to be the father of the sovereign nation state of Malaysia. This memory walls holds a wide array of personal artifacts and souvenirs of the late Prime Minister, Tun Abdul Razak. The philosophy of “Economic” development was commenced by this political-icon. He propagated the significance of growth and investment in market facilities along with infrastructural boom.
This property brings to light the vision of the person. The tourists can also take part in water sports and golf. There is no admission fee required for this memorial. The memorial house opens from 9 o’clock in the morning till 6 o’clock in the evening on Tuesdays and Thursdays, on Saturdays and Sundays even this place is opened for sightseeing.

The memorial is closed on Mondays except during public and school holidays.
Take the KTM Komuter train to the Kuala Lumpur Station. Use the pedestrian tunnel crossing and cross over towards the Railway Station Headquarters office. Follow the signage to KL Lake Gardens and you will be here in 10-15 minutes time. Alternatively, take a taxi as the weather can be quite hot in the afternoon.
