This post is a continuation of my posting on “Blog For FT” campaign. This time, I am going to blog about Central Market or better known as Pasar Seni among the local peoples here. From the exterior, Central Market look like an modern building with vibrant colours. But Central Market was actually built between 1888 and 1889!
It has been classified as a Heritage Site by the Malaysian Heritage Society nowadays. Central Market was originally a wet market, where peoples buy and sells daily goods such as vegetables and fruits. Today, this is a place where you can buy a wide variety of Malaysian arts, handcraft and paintings as a souvenir for your trip to KL. Central Market is located along Jalan Hang Kasturi and can be reach via LRT Pasar Seni station.
