Raja Nong Chik has come out with statement that we hope can solve the issue of Ramadan bazaars especially in KL and Klang Valley causing traffic problems. He said DBKL will conduct post mortems, reported by The Star, copypasted below.

This issue was especially raised regarding Jalan Masjid India, probably the biggest concentration of Ramadfan Bazaars one finds in KL. Syed of Outside the Box made plenty of noise about it.

PUTRAJAYA: A post-mortem will be conducted on the Ramadan bazaars this Hari Raya, said Federal Territories Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin.

“Everything went on smoothly. The situation was under control although there were many visitors and last-minute shoppers in the Masjid India and Medan Tunku area.

“We will conduct a post-mortem on all Ramdan bazaars in the Federal Territory to improve the arrangements,” he said at the Seri Perdana Hari Raya open house on Sunday which was hosted by the Prime Ministers and the Cabinet.

He said no complaints were received from the thousands of shoppers who thronged the Ramadan bazaars.

On the Open House, he said the warm reception strengthened the 1Malaysia concept and the spirit of unity which was an asset to the country.
